Titanium
Titanium has the chemical element of atomic number 22, it is hard silver-gray appearing metal, that is strong, light, and corrosion-resistant. It has the atomic symbol Ti. Titanium comes in many grades and is used to make surgical implants, eyeglasses, golf clubs, watch cases, bracelets, bicycles, wheelchairs, airplanes, space shuttles, card cases, jewelry, heat exchangers, auto parts, armor plating, naval ships, helicopters, dental implants, hip and joint replacement, firearms, laptops, tennis rackets, and more. Due to Titanium's high strength to weight ratio when alloyed with other elements is can be used in endless applications. It is 30 percent stronger and almost 50 percent lighter than steel. Titanium is also biocompatible which makes it an perfect material for implantation into the human body. Most titanium is converted to titanium oxide. This is a white pigment found in paint, toothpaste, paper, cement and some plastics.
