Aluminum Alloy 2024 is a cost-effective material with excellent machinability and a high strength-weight-ratio. In the annealed condition, this alloy is highly workable and can be used in a number of applications, such as fuselage skins for aircrafts, truck wheels, and crew machine products. Its unique composition allows for both hot and cold working, as well as inert gas consumable electrode arc welding. Continental Steel offers this specific alloy in various structural sections.
