Item # AC276T-750-049, 0.049 Inch Thickness Nickel Alloy C276 Tube

Nickel Alloy C276 is otherwise known as Hastelloy® C276, a wrought alloy containing varying amounts of nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. Used for environments where aggressive and localized corrosion attacks are prevalent, this alloy provides resistance to powerful oxidizers that is why it is widely used by chemical processing industries. Nickel Alloy C276 tubing provides protection from acids, seawater, hypochlorites, ferric and cupric chlorides, wet chlorine gas, and chlorine dioxide. It's also ideal for either organic or inorganic hot contaminated media.

Additional Information
The chemical composition of our Nickel Alloy C276 tubing contains 57% Ni, 15-17% Mo, 14.5-16.5% Cr, 4-7% Fe, 3-4.5% W and features a maximum of 1% Mn, 2.5% Co, 0.35% V, and 0.08% Si, giving it outstanding corrosion resistance. For manufacturing applications, it is easily welded using TIG, MIG, resistance, and electron beam techniques. However, oxyacetylene is not recommended. This combination of anti-corrosion and manufacturability make it a suitable choice for a wide variety of industries where critical applications involved highly corrosive environments.

In marine engineering, Nickel Alloy C276 is used as a primary material to protect against seawater. In waste treatment and pollution control, it offers good protection from a variety of oxidizers. In the paper and pulp industry, Nickel Alloy C276 alloys are built into bleach plants and digesters. It's also used in components for the processing of sour gas and just about anything else subjected to sulfuric acid. This includes heat exchangers, evaporators, filters, and mixers.

We stock and sell Nickel Alloy C276 and Hastelloy® C276 tubing in a variety of sizes made to your exact specifications. Our partner mills produce the highest quality specialty metals possible, and Nickel Alloy C276 is manufactured to meet an array of industry standards including ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. We are a worldwide distributor for specialty metals, offering many alternative products using Nickel Alloy C276 and Hastelloy® C276 in the form of plate, fittings, pipe, round bar, strip, sheet, and tube.
