Copper wires are simply copper which is formed into a strand through a process of drawing and annealing. Copper has a number of uses in the electrical industry, thanks to its high conductivity, resistance to corrosion and the ability to be formed into varying shapes. Its malleability and ductility make it ideal for applications such as wiring and winding. Some of C19210’s features include:

  • Content of 0.05% to 0.15% iron and 0.025% to 0.04% phosphor. The remaining alloy content is copper.

  • Electrical resistance of 55% IACS. Pure copper has a resistance of 0.15328 Ω, which is known as 100% IACS. Copper is the standard against which all other metals are compared.

  • Corrosion resistance from natural and industrial atmospheres. It also has good resistance to maritime atmosphere.

  • Soldering C19210 copper wire is easy, making it ideal for electrical and electronics applications.

  • Copper’s non-magnetic properties make it ideal for use in electronics applications. It is these properties that can help prevent magnetic interference in sensitive equipment.

  • Flexibility makes it the perfect choice for electrical wires, which may need to be suspended or bent to be properly installed.

  • Melting point of 1,980°F (1,082°C). This higher melting point makes C19210 a good choice for use in environments with higher temperatures.

  • Tensile strength of 345 MPa (50,000 ksi).
