Aluminum Alloy 7075 offers moderate toughness as well as an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It becomes stronger at sub-zero temperatures and is a desired material because of its durable stress-corrosion cracking resistance. Aluminum 7075, popular in the aerospace industry, is used in demanding applications such as highly stressed structural parts and aircraft fittings.
