Aluminum Alloy 2014 is a precipitation hardening material with strong machining and welding capabilities. It is best machined in the annealed condition, maintains high strength after heat treatment at 935°, and can be welded with inert gas consumable electrode arc methods. Continental Steel & Tube Company offers Aluminum Alloy 2014 in angular shapes for truck frames and aerospace structural components, as well as in coils, bars, and wires.
